My notes from service this morning:
7 steps to intimate prayer life:
(Like the "Our Father", but not. The bible says to pray a prayer like this- not the exact one)
- Expressing Reverence ("my father", the source of all things, the greatest person you know, the one who every good thing comes from) (say it out loud to remind yourself and to remind god that you acknowledge the truth)
- Recognition ("which art in heaven") (recognize that you can go to heaven daily- stop thinking in human time- and think in heaven eternally; the bible says to "set our hearts and minds on things above, not on things of the earth") (get into the holy of holies)
- Respect ("hallowed by your name", Gods names, His promises, His works and what He has done)
- Request
- Presence -"let your kingdom come", ask for His presence
- Purpose- "your will be done on earth as it is in heaven", ask for His plans to be fulfilled, don't ask for fleshly desires. Ask for His will. The bible says "Seek ye first the kingdom of god and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you" Matthew 6:33
- Provision- "give us this day our daily bread", ask for His provision for life (don't ask without first expressing your sincere love for Him. Who really wants to give when they never feel appreciated?) (*you must be specific in what you need and want. Don't make God guess!)
- Repentance ("and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us") (don't try and justify your sin. Just admit you were wrong and confess) (do not hold unforgiveness or grudge on someone else, because if you don't forgive, you will not be forgiven-"don't let the sun go down on your anger")
- Redirection ("lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil") (ask to be redirected and to stay away from temptation) (everyone has weaknesses, so don't play around with your weak areas)
- Rejoicing ("yours is the kingdom, power, and glory forever")
*Remember, the Word says to do this in secret. You don't need to put on a show for people. Be private with Him with your prayers.
*Pray with a sincere heart. Be spirit led.
We went back to the Hyatt to baptize a new brother in Christ, Simon. He had his whole family there to witness it and we were able to share Jesus with them. So awesome!
After the baptism, we all went get ice-cream to celebrate!
We had a short time of relaxation at the hotel before we had to head back out for the second half of our worship conference.
I had the opportunity to work the words on the projector and hang out in the sound booth for praise and worship. Since our praise and worship is in English, the locals couldn't find the right slides to go along with the songs. So that was a new experience.
After praise and worship, Pastor Steven called me in front of the church to share one of my messages with them! What an opportunity to share what God had placed on my heart in another country with another language, but same God. Our sweet translator worked so hard and I really appreciated the love from the congregation. They were so happy to have me up there and so sweet and patient with me and the translator! I spoke on godly family and godly children, which couldn't have been more perfect to what Steven was going to follow up with for the message.
The Spirit was flowing, therefore we didn't stick to our outline. Steven spoke on the end times, and the importance of raising godly children because they will be the ones here running the world at the end. The time is near, not much longer. Are you ready?
He then spoke on how miracles happen, and usually during worship, tying in worship to what the Spirit was telling him. He ended by praying over the local praise team, laying hands on them imparting to them his gift of worship. Everyone was on the ground, awesome service!

We left for dinner and went eat with all of the youth again. Had some very interesting food: cow brains, dried beef lungs, beef skin, soybean pattie, steamed chicken, and whole squid. Another interesting dinner!
