Day 64, last day in Malaysia

Thursday we left Cameron Highlands and headed back to Gua Musang. On the way back, we stopped at a few farms. First we went to Agro-Technology Park Mardi Cameron Highlands which was beautiful! There were plants, flowers, and produce growing. My favorite was probably the rose garden area. So pretty! From there we headed to a strawberry and mushroom farm. Very cool to see how they grow! We all ordered ice cream topped with fresh strawberries grown at that farm. So good! Then we went to a butterfly and insect farm. The first part of butterflies was incredible. But the second part of insects was just creepy. I'm glad I went, but seeing giant insects isn't very high on my fun list!

A church in the mountains that was originally a bomb shelter (just like our church here in Singapore!)

When we got back to Aunty Kim & Uncle PC's plantation in the jungle in Gua Musang, we relaxed for a bit before heading to the local market to buy some fresh produce and to check out the cool local things they sell. We were able to buy fried bananas which were actually very good! And homemade potato chips- sugar and pepper. Sounds weird but tasty!

We all went back to the plantation to freshen up and relax before having our last meal there. We had Chinese where I was able to try all kinds of new stuff: fried pumpkin, lotus root, mushrooms that we got from the farm they cooked, and some locally grown greens in addition to some of our other familiar dishes.

Our train left at midnight so we had some time in the train station to chat with Aunty Kim &Uncle PC before we headed out. It was sad to tell them bye, but I knew they were ready to get all of us out of their house! They were truly amazing to us and I will miss them!
