Day 60, Church of Our Savior Filipino Church

I must brag on my awesome family and boyfriend. It was Chloe's 1st birthday and I am so sad I missed it. But I woke up to the best pictures sent to me. Keep in mind I had no idea this was happening so it really made my heart smile big!!!

Chloe got lots of love on her birthday even though mommy wasn't there to celebrate. I really can't put into words just how happy that made me!! Happy birthday my sweet girl!

This morning we went to the Church of Our Savior, a Filipino church who invited Steven and the students to minister to them. We had two services to attend with them. Such sweeeet people!!! The church was about 97% women, and Steven let us know ahead of time these women are servants (and the closest thing you will get to legal slaves inside Singapore). These ladies were soooo happy to have us. Steven gave a great message and after both services asked us as his students to come up and run the alter call. It was soooo incredible to see the power operating through us. For the past two months, all we have been doing is marinating and today was our day to shine! So awesome to see these people falling out in the spirit all from our learning hands. It really was eye opening in showing me just how much we are learning!

One of the ladies I got to pray with!

One thing that was really awesome was that one woman cooked Filipino spaghetti for the entire church for both services! They had them in individual to go boxes with forks! So we got to eat between services while talking with all of the members. I really really felt so at home there with them. Truly a memorable church experience.

After those services, we had time to look for a sweater for Bliss, then head over to our regular church service on Sunday nights. We grabbed dinner at one of the malls before going. We got kaya toast and half boiled eggs! One of my favorite Singapore dishes! Haven't had it since we have been back so it was really a treat! We went to a different chain than we normally go to, and it was even better! Looks crazy, but imagine a version of PB&J dipped in your eggs. Sounds unusual but it is great!

Our regular service was good tonight. Two random points that spoke to me:
  • God can only be as real through you as He is to you.
  • Keep your eyes on the prize. We aren't working for reward in this world, but for eternity.

So we leave tomorrow for Malaysia. We will be taking a train through the jungle, very cool! We will come back on Friday. I will be honest and say I am a little (or a lot) nervous. I've heard crazy stories about snakes, so pray that I don't have any run-ins please!
