Day 21, "Soo s'die srie"

Today was another typical school day: wake up, grab breakfast at the bakery across the street, class, lunch, class, home. I am really liking the routine though. I function in an orderly manner. I love routine, lists, outlines, etc. They make me feel structured. Weird, I know. Just thought I would share that!
Anyway, class was great. Another day of my mind being blown at new revelations! We talked about the 6 things that Jesus prays for us: joy, protection, sanctification by the Word, unity, destiny, and love! I love learning from Steven with scripture to back it up! It is so easy in our fleshly mind to doubt what we learn from man, but with scriptures that prove it, there is no excuse! We also talked about vision, and how we must ask God for a vision, receive your vision, confess your vision aloud to others, than live out your vision. Love it!
Afterwards, we resumed our lesson on learning the Khmer language. It is so fun! But hard to learn since we don't have words to go off of. The Khmer language doesn't use letters, but signs for words. So we can't understand it to even try and pronounce the words! My favorite phrase that we learned (ironically, it is my favorite phrase in English too!): 'Soo s'die srie'. It means.... "Hey girl!" haha If you know me well, you know that is a phrase I overuse wayyyy too much! Can't wait to say it to locals, girls only of course!

After class, we grabbed dinner, did our Bible reading, and I finished my sermon outline. We are required to do a sermon outline every day to be submitted as our homework. Today, I really love my sermon outline. It was on Mark 12: 30-31 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

Before bed, I got to Skype with my beautiful mother. She is such an incredible woman! She encouraged me, and talked with me about struggles I am facing while here (don't worry, just minor adjustments). She is so good to me, taking on all my responsibilities while I am here, encouraging me, and praying for my class daily. She truly is such a godly woman, and I hope to be half the woman she is one day! I am forever grateful for my upbringing, and her constant seeds sown into my life. I would not be the woman of God I am today without her influence, and loving guidance! Thanks mom! I love you!
