Today was a pretty typical class day. We talked about church planting, and how to release your church once your work there is done. We learned how to appoint a new pastor, and how locals are the best at furthering the church once you leave it behind. No one can reach locals in the area like other locals, they get them and their way of life and their mindset.
For lunch, we went to a hole in the wall place and I ordered the chicken fried rice. Absolute best fried rice I have had since in Asia! I had extremely low expectations, but I was blown away!
Since we meet for class in the additional dinning space on the next level of Alma Café, we were forced to end class early today since they were so busy. The lunch crowd was so large, they needed our dining space. This is a great thing for Alma! They have only been opened a little over 1 month, yet have already had a dozen or so write ups in the paper and have been steadily increasing in their business.
So because we got out early, I was able to take a quick nap before heading over to the coffee shop for reading and dinner. Me, Jenn, and Bliss talked for almost 2 hours before starting our readings. We talked about what we are learning, concepts we don't understand that we learn, things our spirits are telling us, etc. I find I learn much more this way than through just reading and observing. I feel so connected to these two girls. We have been living together for the last 7 weeks, some days not even having an hour away from each other all day. Great girls to learn with, live with, and grow with!
I wonder what Jenn's favorite color is?!! haha
Shirt, nails, phone cover, and bracelet
