Day 46, Areyskat VIllage

We started our Sunday morning off with service at Water of Life, followed by lunch at an Italian restaurant. So cute! But it was playing classic country music over the speakers. I listened to "Louisiana Saturday Night", inside of this Italian restaurant, in Cambodia. Weird!!!

After lunch, we all got in the big tuk-tuk and headed across the river on a ferry to Areyskat Village where we went two weeks ago, except this time we went to a different church group. We went with Kalaty to the church she teaches the youth at.

Sweet Kalaty (a girl we have befriended since coming here) runs her own church service for the youth in the same village, but on the opposite side (a much poorer area if you can believe it). We had to walk about 20 minutes down a secluded dirt road until we reached the area. It consisted of just a few shacks with open green fields. It really was beautiful scenery, just not the best living conditions. At all. Half of the babies were naked, most of the older children had shirts and pants, but some didn't. No toilet, only a hole in the ground. Everyone uses that one toilet, and it is in the open. While we were having service, many people were using the bathroom out in the open like no big deal.

The only potty in the village. Yikes!

Just as we were leaving, the heavens opened and rained on us!
No umbrellas. Dirt roads + rain= muddy walk home!

Isaiah 52:7
"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!"

On the way home, we had a worship session in the tuk-tuk. Fun times!

After the village, we grabbed some dinner then came home. Natasha and Francel came over and laid hands on each of us in the hallway and prayed. Natasha is incredibly prophetic and read everyone's mail! What sweet moments to have with the group outside of class walls. Our time together tonight was amazing! Chains were broken, people were set free, and we all received fresh anointing!
