Day 42

So I woke up this morning with my right eye nearly swollen shut. No idea what is wrong, but it feels like fire on the outside crease. No fun.
Went to class. We started covering Biblical Family Life. Can you say awesome!! I am so glad we are covering this, since I feel like family is the center of everything here on Earth. I want to be the best wife and mother I can be. I want to know what is expected of me, and what to expect of my husband and children. So incredible!
Gulizor, the girl from Tajikistan, did a short presentation on her ministry and pictures! She is a midwife who preaches the gospel as she goes on deliveries. She also does simple healthcare aiding the people who can't afford doctors. And of course, she preaches the gospel to them too as well! Amazing stories, and amazing pictures. Tajikistan is gorgeousssss! But way too cold for me!

After class, I went to the children's home with the 30 children. All 30 children had lice, so we spent 3 hours treating their hair. We washes each child's hair 2 times, and then take a fine comb and comb the lice out. I have had zero experience with lice before, so I did not know what I was doing. Luckily, I had a pair of gloves and a good teacher, and went to town on the kids hair! I love their sweet smiling faces. Made it all worth it!

Before heading home, we went to the 5th floor deck and had praise and worship for about 45 minutes. They took turns picking out songs, and one of the boys even played the guitar and led us in worship for a few songs. I love seeing the kids so excited about singing to Jesus. Catherine has done an amazing job raising these children to put Christ first. I love how much they love Jesus!
